Our Miracle Month
My husband (and co-pastor of New Jerusalem Church) and I believe that God wants to be in constant contact with His people through His Word and with His voice. If we had not believed that God wants to have a relationship with us like He did with Adam and Eve before the fall, we would never have made it through this past 30 days as victoriously as we did. A Thanksgiving dinner for the church, a large birthday party for all our kids and grandkids (21 guests and 14 birthdays to celebrate), a funeral of a good friend and relative, a Christmas dinner for the church, grandkid’s basketball games to attend, Christmas to prepare for, and 2 hospital visits are just a few of the events that dominated this last month. God led us every step of the way. As we followed His voice he multiplied our time, brought us people to help, and with the prayers of our church, God made the parties a success and in the difficult times of the funeral and the hospital stays, God took what satan meant for evil and turned it to comfort, healing, and joy. He gave us a confidence as we heard from Him bc as we saw so many miraculous turn of events that only God could have done. At one point I was driving and praying to know which way to go next. I turned the radio on and the station was playing “Our God is an Awesome God”. It was a song God had given me days before. I knew God was telling me He was taking care of everything. The next song was “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas”. God was telling me that Christmas would be very joyful for us, so we didn’t need to worry. He was going to show His awesomeness. God has been so wonderful and so close to us that we just have to praise Him. We are expecting to see even more great things happen bc God is so good. God desires to lead all His people through every part of life. We just need to know His Word, and believe John 10:27. Then we need to practice hearing until we recognize His voice. Once we hear and know it’s Him, we must obey. Everyone that ever did anything great in the Bible and had miraculous results, heard God’s voice and obeyed. I’m believing that if you are reading this post, you will be moved to conduct your life like this. If you do, your blessings will be many, and you we be more than a conqueror in every adversity of life.
