The After Thanksgiving Post
This month has been extremely busy for me. I had 3 events to oversee and implement. Two were church related, and one was a family event. It was an enormous task for me, and yes, I had help, but as far as my thinking went, I could have been overwhelmed. I was determined not to do these events as I had done in the past by entertaining thoughts of inadequacy and anxiety. In my prayer time God began to minister to me during this time of preparation. First, He told me to keep my focus on what I had already completed rather than all that I had to do. He led me step by step each day to accomplish everything that needed accomplishment for that day. I prayed much in the Holy Spirit, kept spirits bound, and worked very hard to walk in the Spirit and not to walk in the flesh. I repented quickly when I missed it. As a result, God made the prep time for these events go amazingly smooth. He reminded me of every detail, calmed every fear, got me help when I needed it, and made each event a special occasion. He even made sure every financial need was met. So this Thanksgiving I’m so grateful for God loving me so much that He would help me with the events that meant so much to me. So why am I telling you my story? Because the beauty of this story is it can be your story. God wants to be involved in every area of your life, my life. We just need to make Him first place, and follow Him. He’ll lead into victory every time.
